*UPDATED* - Barber St. Road Closures Postponed
Due to unforeseen reasons by the gravel supply contractor, gravel spreading is not possible today or tomorrow (June 23 & 24). For this reason, the planned road closures are not required. The contractor has advised that he expects to be able to perform gravel deliveries Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Public Works will be closing Barber St. from Second Ave. to Queensway Ave. on June 27 & 28 in order to prepare the road for surface treatment. Please prepare for the road to be closed from 8:30am – 5:00pm each day. Emergency services will be notified of the closures.
A detour around this work area has been posted for Barber St. traffic travelling South-West as follows:
- Second Ave. Eastbound to Mead Blvd.
- Mead Blvd. Southbound to Queensway Ave.
- Queensway Ave. Westbound to Barber St./Lee Valley Rd.
The detour around this work area has been posted for Lee Valley Rd. traffic as follows:
- Queensway Ave. Eastbound to Mead Blvd.
- Mead Blvd. Northbound to Second Ave.
- Second Ave. Westbound to Barber St.
