“Our focus remains on the health and safety of our residents and businesses as we continue to work with the local public health agency and its partners while responding to the second Emergency Declaration.” stated Mayor Jill Beer. 

As with the first declaration the Town wishes to ensure our residents that although our offices are closed to the public, staff continue to report to work to meet your needs.  During this time, please note the following:

Council meetings will continue to be held virtually via Zoom.

Town office – staff can be reached by calling 705-869-1540, please listen carefully as our options have changed, or by emailing [email protected]

Tax & Water and Sewer accounts – there will be no interest calculated on outstanding balances for the duration of the declared emergency.  Payments can be made online or by mail.  A drop box is set up just inside the town office and is available from 9 am – 11 am and 2 pm – 4 pm, Monday to Thursday.  These hours are subject to change.  Please call or check the town’s website or Facebook page for changes. For information on these account balances please contact Jeremiah at [email protected] or by calling 705-869-1540 ext. 92107. 

Building Services will continue with their regular activities, including permits, approvals and inspections.  For permit inquiries please call 705-869-1540 ext. 92109.  No new permits will be issued, however please contact us to file your application now to have your permit issued when the Emergency Order is lifted.  All other existing construction and related inspections will continue.

Provincial Offences Office is closed to the public and encourages those to explore the various payment options available by phone at 705-862-7875, mail, or online at www.paytickets.ca.  For further inquiries to any POA matters, including court appearances, please do not hesitate to contact the office by telephone at 705-862-7875.

The Care Van service will resume its operations after the declared emergency has been lifted.  

Public Works Office will be open from 8 am – 12:30 pm & 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm Monday to Friday to answer your phone calls.  They can be reached at 705-869-1751.

Recreation memberships will be extended for the period of time that our facilities remain closed to the public.

The Espanola Public Library continues to offer Curbside Services during the hours of 10 am and 4 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The book return is open 24/7 in order to facilitate the return of library materials.

All garbage and recycling collection will continue as scheduled.

The municipality will continue to follow the direction provided by the Ministry of Health and Public Health.
