The Town of Espanola will host two events over the next week to support and provide resources to those affected by Domtar’s announcement to idle its Espanola operations.
A two-day Job Fair & Service Expo will be hosted at the Espanola Recreation Complex on October 6 & 7, from 10am-3pm. Over 30 employers and service organizations are scheduled to be on site with information and job opportunities.
Following the Thanksgiving holiday, a two-day Transitioning Employment Info Session will be hosted at the Espanola Curling Club on October 10 & 11, from 3-7pm. The two sessions will be identical, with presentations from RBC on Financial Planning when Transitioning Employers, Service Canada on Employment Insurance Applications, and Skilled Trades Ontario on Trade Equivalency Assessments.
