In following suit with the Province of Ontario, flags at all municipal facilities are flown at half-mast on February 14, the day of the state funeral for former mayor of Mississauga Hazel McCallion. Hazel McCallion served as Mayor of Mississauga from 1978 to 2014. McCallion will be remembered as a force in municipal politics in Ontario and a leader for women in politics in general.
