NOTICE OF WATER SHUTOFF

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2022

TO:        RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES IN THE FOLLOWING STREET SECTIONS:

  • Hwy 6/Centre St. from Queensway Ave. to McCulloch Dr.
  • Queensway Ave. from Hwy 6/Centre St. to Barrie St.
  • McCulloch Dr.
  • Panache Lake Rd.
  • 651 & 682 Williamson St.

FROM:   PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

Please be advised that the Public Works Department has to shut off the water affecting residents and businesses in the above areas on Tuesday September 13 starting at 8:00pm in the evening.  The shutdown is required so Public Works can replace a faulty valve at the intersection of Queensway Ave. and Williamson St.  The water should be restored by midnight.  The purpose of an evening shutdown is to accommodate the numerous businesses that would be affected by a daytime shutdown during normal operating hours.

It is suggested that residents fill a bathtub with water prior to the 8pm shutdown to act as a source of water for filling toilet tanks for flushing.  Any businesses equipped with sprinkler systems and alarms should contact their service providers to advise of a possible false alarm during the shutdown due to zero pressure.  If you experience dirty water once the water is restored, let your cold water run and it should clear up.  If it persists, please call 869-1751 between 7:30am-4:00pm.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter
