The Town of Espanola Recreation & Culture Advisory Committee is made up primarily of appointed residents of Espanola accompanied by two appointed members of the municipal Council. The Committee's purpose is to support in strengthening and increasing recreation and cultural opportunities by providing advice and recommendations to the Administration and Council with a community based focus.

The Police Services Board is a governing body under the Police Services Act responsible for the provision of adequate and effective police services in the municipality.

The Library Board is to provide comprehensive, user oriented Library Services, which meet the needs of the community. It is the governing body for the Espanola Public Library pursuant to the Public Libraries Act.

The Committee of Adjustment and the Committee of Property Standards are two respective committees made up of the same members.
The Committee of Adjustment is a statutory tribunal with authority delegated to it by the Town of Espanola Council, under the provisions of the Ontario Planning Act, to hold public hearings to make decisions on applications submitted to the Town of Espanola Planning Department for minor variances.
The Committee of Property Standards is appointed by Council pursuant to the provisions of the Building Code Act to deal with matters related to the municipality's Property Standards Bylaw and the municipality's Official Plan.
The Animal Control Hearing Panel is a tribunal tasked with hearing appeals to the Town’s Bylaw for the Licencing and Requiring the Registration of Dogs and Cats and for the Control and Keeping of Dogs, Cats and Other Animals within the Municipality of the Town of Espanola.

The Corporation of the Town of Espanola has established a number of boards and committees that serve the community. These boards and committees help to advise and inform the Mayor and Councillors on matters that impact the public, giving residents access and input with decision makers in government.
The Municipality is currently looking for 2 volunteers to serve on the Non-Profit Housing Board. Members of the public are encouraged to submit an application for consideration as a volunteer.
Qualifications: Elector in the Town of Espanola, 18 years of age & Canadian Citizen.
