Building Services is responsible for all matters relating to Building Permits and Property Standards

The Espanola Fire Department is responsible for maintaining the optimum level of fire protection for all shareholders, including the residents of the Town of Espanola, Town Council, and the Province through the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office. This is done through one station with a full time Chief, part-time secretary, and twenty-eight dedicated volunteers. 

The Leisure Services Department is dedicated to building a healthy community and improving the quality of life for citizens of all ages.

The library serves the informational, educational and entertainment needs of the community, with a wide selection of books, newspapers, magazines, DVDs, and local history. We also offer many services including children’s programming, public access computers, a colour copier, faxing, scanning, a meeting room, home-bound service, and inter-library loans. 

The Town of Espanola provides Prosecution and Courtroom Reporter services for Part 1 tickets and all Provincial Offences Courts held in the Town of Espanola Court Service area and the Elliot Lake Court Service Area.  Arrangements for Option 2 (Guilty with explanation) and Option 3 (Trial Date Request) are made through the office.
