November was Woman Abuse Prevention Month. As part of the resolution adopted by Council to declare November 25th, 2021 as “The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women” the Wrapped in Courage 2021 Campaign Flag was raised on November 25th.

In addition, on December 6, 2021, flags at municipal facilities will be lowered to half mast in honour of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women including The Wrapped in Courage 2021 Campaign Flag and in remembrance of the 14 women who lost their lives at the École Polytechnique in Montréal on Dec.6 1989.
