A stationary parade is being planned as a safe return to the annual festivity. “Last year’s parade was cancelled due to Provincial COVID restrictions, says Mayor Jill Beer, “some municipalities held stationary parades and boasted great success so we hope the concept will be embraced by our community until we can return to pre-COVID large scale gatherings.”

A stationary parade disperses floats, and thereby, the spectators throughout the community.  A map of the float sites will be published and families can either walk or drive by the floats between 7:00 to 9:00pm on Saturday November 27th.

Local businesses are encouraged to set up their floats at their businesses and not-for profit groups are asked to set up in front of their organizations.  Anyone unable to find a location to park their float is encouraged to call the Program Manager at the Recreation Complex for assistance.

As in previous years, registration is free and prizes will be awarded in the categories of Best Business, Best Community Spirit & Judges Choice.  The deadline for registration is November 8th.  Registration forms available at, the Town Office and Recreation Complex.
