NOTICE OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION
LOCATION: JACKLIN RD. IN 3 LOCATIONS:
1 - FROM HWY 6 TO RAILWAY CROSSING
2 - FROM 650 JACKLIN RD. TO 300M WEST OF 650 JACKLIN RD.
3 - FROM 557 TO 377 JACKLIN RD.
DATES: JUNE 14 – JULY 30, 2021 (WEATHER DEPENDENT)
HOURS: BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:30AM-6:00PM
The Corporation of the Town of Espanola has begun road reconstruction work on Jacklin Rd. in preparation for surface treatment. The Department is optimistic that the surface treatment should be completed by July 30, 2021 (weather dependent). The scope of work includes clay removal, ditching, scarifying existing surface, gravelling, grading and packing prior to surface treatment by Beamish Construction (tar & chip). Sweeping of excess gravel used for the surface treatment will be performed 2-3 weeks after installation. All driveways requiring it will be regraded to match the 4” to 6” higher road elevation.
The road will be open to traffic each working day; however there will be some traffic disruptions throughout this project. Signs will be erected indicating that it is a construction zone throughout the project.
