Espanola Public Library - Library Clerk

The Espanola Public Library is accepting applications for a Library Clerk position. This is a casual, part time position, which entails an average 20-30 hours or less per two week period – with occasional periods of up to 35 hours per week to meet staffing requirements.

This is a responsible, casual, clerical position involving support services and direct service to patrons.

Work involves responsibility for circulation desk functions, using an automated circulation system, shelf maintenance, periodical maintenance, preparation of books for circulation, basic library statistics, interlibrary loan, and overdue book procedures as assigned.

The clerk will work with students and volunteers. This position is also invested with making routine clerical decisions, requiring good knowledge, skill and ability in both customer service and library functions.

Qualifications:  Resident or property owner in the Town of Espanola, minimum 18 years of age, Canadian citizen; available day, night and weekends. Must be dedicated and have the support of family.
