Yard Waste Depot Abuse
The Town of Espanola is disappointed to report that after only two weeks since opening the Yard Waste Depot, there have been several instances of improper waste being deposited. We have encountered wooden building materials, general garbage as well as wood larger than 4” in diameter.
This site is NOT a landfill! It is intended to assist residents with disposing of yard waste as an initiative to help beautify our community and properties. Compostable yard waste, wood chips and nuisance branches under 4” in diameter are the only acceptable waste. This site is for Espanola ratepayers only. Further abuse of this site may result in a reduction of operational hours and days.
